We Made It!

After a VERY long day, we'll make a quick blog entry before toddling off to bed! We left S&M's at 6:45 this morning, drove to the Portland airport (in that awful Portland rush hour traffic!) Flew to LAX, hung around for four hours, then flew on to Honolulu, arriving there at 8:00PM their time, 11:00PM our time. We checked into the Queen Kapiolani Hotel - not sure about it yet, room is pretty musty smelling, like no one had used it for a long time; or maybe a Hawaiian hotel room smells like that anyway, because of humidity? Not much of a view, but we're told that Waikiki Beach is right across the street. (Somehow S&M got their room "upgraded" to the penthouse floor  - who do they know?)

Meeting S&M at 8:00 AM for b'fast, then we're off to the Arizona Memorial.
