We left our little quaint, querky, odd cottage in the jungle at Volcano about 6:30AM for the three hour drive back to the Kona airport. We boarded the Mokulele Airline's puddlejumper for the 30 minute flight over to Maui. S&M met us at the airport. Interesting views of the islands as we flew over - particularly the lava flows from the volcanos down to the sea. The resort city here on Maui is called Kihei.
After a nice lunch ( we never did get breakfast), S&M took us over to our hotel, the Mana Kai Maui, where will be for the next five days as we explore this island. What a view from our suite!!
Spent the afternoon just hangin' out; went for a swim in the ocean and the pool. The beaches are spectacular! Great Italian dinner at a local joint, then Mai Tai's in the hotel bar. As Mary would say: "Its all Good!".
